how we license music

Title 17, section 106 of the U.S. Copyright Act gives copyright owners of publishing and sound recordings exclusive rights to reproduce, create derivative works (and allow derivative works to be created), distribute copies, and perform works publicly (including digital audio transmission).

Following U.S. Copyright law, we license our featured music directly from rights holders (usually artists) who own and control 100% of their rights, getting permission to stream their music across all space, available for purchase/downloads, and making the music available for covers/derivative works via our service.

We also do our due diligence to ensure each writer and performer on each track owns and controls their appropriate rights. This is why we have a verification process for each artist on each track.
